The Department of Biochemistry holds expert and experienced faculty who graduated from prestigious Institutes and constantly update themselves and work to achieve the benchmark in the realm of knowledge and teaching. we are proud to inform that the Department of Biochemistry provide excellent laboratory based services such as Metabolic parameter analysis, Electrolytes, Arterial Blood Gas Analysis, Hormones, Tumor Markers and Inborn Metabolic screening , etc , which exists to help clinicians in the prevention , diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
This department works round the clock. Every month nearly 50,000 out-patient and 1,30,000 In-patient tests are performed. Here, students of Postgraduate (M.D Biochemistry), Under Graduate ( M.B.B.S), DMLT, BSC MLT, and other Allied health care Students gain sound knowledge of the various equipments and methods used in the laboratory for improving the patient health care. This exposure is supplemented by theoretical as well as practical knowledge with the help of advanced teaching techniques and learning aids that are present in the lecture halls. These facilities are put to good use by the faculties of the department. The faculty members, besides improving the Lab standard, also conduct Continuous Medical Education (CME) programmes and attend national and International Conferences to gain and exchange knowledge on the progress made in different areas of Biochemistry.
