The Central Library of Thanjavur Medical College is a well-established academic support facility designed to meet the learning, teaching, and research needs of students, postgraduates, and faculty members. Spread across a total area of 12,298 sq. feet, the library includes separate staff and student sections and offers a comfortable seating capacity for 75 staff/postgraduate users and 250 students.

The library houses a rich collection of 38,920 books and 7,551 bound journals, supported by a continuously updated acquisition policy, with 492 new books added in 2023, 438 in 2024, and 609 in 2025. It subscribes to a wide range of Indian and foreign journals, totaling 131 journals in 2023, 13 in 2024, and 53 in 2025, ensuring access to current medical literature.
