About Us

The Department of ENT holds expert and experienced faculty who graduated from prestigious institutes who constantly update themselves and work to achieve the benchmark in the patient care and academic performance.

Being one of the allied surgical specialties it forms a corner stone in providing persistent patient care in diagnosis and management of Elective and Emergency surgical procedures. This department works round-the-clock, taking care of around 4,500 outpatients and 1,500 inpatients per months bring broad academic exposure to 150 under graduate students, in clinical postings and bed side teachings.

The department periodically upgrades surgical equipments for various surgical procedures.

The department is an epicenter for evaluation and performing cochlear implant programme covering more than nearby four districts. And also the department empowers the issue of disability certificates through regional medical board. The audiometric facility is very much upgraded with BERA facilitating new born hearing assessment screening programme.

The department uphold various research activities from both Post Graduate students and teaching facilities in publishing research articles, case reports etc., The Post Graduates often attends state and national conferences and participate in paper presentation.

Here students gain thorough knowledge and exposure in learning the management of ENT emergencies. The exposure is further augmented by timetabled theoretical sessions in the lecture hall. The faculties are further updated by attending the Continuing Medical Education (CME), Workshops and national conferences.

The department conducts periodical academic programme in National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) every year.
