About Us

Department of Medical Oncology at Thanjavur Medical college Hospital caters Health care needs of cancer patients of Cauvery Delta region and Central Tamil Nadu Districts comprising Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Trichy, Karur, Part of Villupuram and Cuddalore Districts.
Our Tamilnadu Government has ordered to initiate Regional Cancer Center at Thanjavur Medical College at 2013. It started functioning since 2017.
As the number of new cases and out and in patients are steadily increasing we need additional building for wards, man power and equipment’s to meet out the need in near future. The possibility of getting Post graduate seats and making this as an Institute is high by standardizing the infrastructure and manpower.
We require additional man power and equipment’s to improve our services to the patients.
